One of China's best-known teas, Gunpowder, is produced in the Zhejiang Province in eastern China. This tea was originally rolled into pellets (resembling gunpowder) to help keep it fresh for as long as possible on the long journey across the oceans.
Our Pinhead Gunpowder uses the youngest, most tender green tea leaves, making for a smaller rolled tea. When brewed, the small, tightly balled, silvery-green leaves open into large olive green leaves. Pinhead Gunpowder Green tea has a medium body, with a very delicate hint of smokiness in the light amber cup. Yields multiple infusions.
