A traditional Indian-style masala chai: hearty tea plus lots of warming spices! It is perfect for our long, gray, rainy winters and a favorite around the holidays. Brew by the cup like regular black tea or make on the stove top (recipe follows).
Packed in a black square tin with an inner lid.
Ingredients: black tea, cardamom, cloves, ginger root, cinnamon, star anise, allspice
STOVE TOP INSTRUCTIONS: Combine 3 teaspoons of Seattle Chai and 8 fluid ounces of cold water in a small pan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 12-15 minutes. Add 8 fluid ounces of milk and heat through. Sweeten to taste & strain into cups - enjoy! Makes 2 servings.
