A traditional Indian-style masala chai: hearty tea plus lots of warming spices! The premium black tea base is a bold complement to a high proportion of freshly-milled spices. It is perfect for our long, gray, rainy winters and a favorite around the holidays. Brew with hot water like regular black tea, or make a milky chai on the stove top (recipe follows).
Ingredients: Black tea, cardamom, cloves, ginger root, cinnamon, star anise, allspice
STOVE TOP INSTRUCTIONS: Combine 3 teaspoons of Seattle Chai and 8 fluid ounces of cold water in a small pan. Bring to a boil and simmer for 12-15 minutes. Add 8 fluid ounces of milk and heat through. Sweeten to taste & strain into cups - enjoy! Makes 2 servings.
