> Oolong
- Oolong teas, midway between green and black teas are some of the most complex tasting teas in the world. They also represent the largest number of individual teas to be found.
- Because oolong teas represent any tea that is even slightly oxidized to those that are as oxidized as possible, there are more oolongs available than there are wines.
- Traditionally, oolongs were manufactured in China but during the Cultural Revolution the process died out. It was re-born in Taiwan and developed into the major tea export of that nation and is now, once again, being rivaled by Chinese production.
- Delicate and vegetive in aroma, pale green to almost black in color, able to withstand several steepings at a setting, oolongs provide more variety of taste the any other tea variety we know.
Remember, when you purchase one pound (16 oz) or more of any one tea, you get a 10% discount on that tea. |
